In loving memory of Frederick Westcombe, fondly known as Fred
Fred sadly passed on 23rd November aged 77 years. A wonderful and cherished husband, dad, stepdad, grandad, grandpa farmer, brother, friend and animal lover.
Fred enjoyed his life and lived it to the full with style, gusto and a huge smile. He touched the lives of many and was a source of great wisdom, support and fun. He would want everyone to know that he was grateful to have his robust health and prosperity for so long.
We have many treasured memories of happy times spent with Fred. We are saddened by his passing but can look back fondly and remember how much he achieved personally and professionally.
We will be saying goodbye and celebrating his life at Hastings Crematorium (TN34 2AE) from 12.15pm on 03/01/2025 - map and full address details are below. Can you please let the family know if you will be joining us. Please don’t feel you have to wear black to the service. While the family is obviously bereft, this is very much a Celebration of Life. After the service, you are invited to join us to continue remembering Fred at The Abbey Hotel, 84 High Street, Battle TN33 0AQ.
The service can be accessed via live stream for family and friends unable to join us on the day, this will be available to view for up to 7 days after the service. Please ask the family if you would like to receive the live stream link.
The family have requested that instead of floral tributes, donations are made in Fred’s memory to a charity close to his heart. Fred was a devoted and passionate animal lover, and his dogs held a very special place in his heart. His faithful canine companions were a constant source of love and joy on his journey through life. We feel this would be a fitting tribute to Fred and donations to the Dogs Trust via the link on this page will be gratefully received. Thank you.
